GED Classes Rochester, Minnesota

This article shows all GED® prep class sites and test centers in the Rochester, Minnesota area. Minnesota is using the computer-formatted GED exam for high school equivalency (HSE) testing.

There are two options to take the GED exam, online and at state-approved GED test facilities.

The HSE test offers adults who left high school without a diploma the chance to acquire an equivalent degree.

There are four GED modules (subtests) in Math, Science, Literacy, and Social Studies.

The four tests may be taken separately. You don’t have to sit for the complete GED battery in one take.

All across North America, the GED diploma is accepted in the same way as a common HS degree by institutions of higher education and employers.

Testing takes place at a level that compares to what HS seniors must command upon graduation.

It used to be that GED testing over the internet was not possible. The recent introduction of a new online proctored (OP) GED test-taking option has, however, changed that. Read more below.

Introducing online GED testing

Until recently, you never had the option to take the GED exam online. If you were looking to get hold of a Minnesota GED diploma, you were required to appear, in person, at an official GED testing facility to deal with the four GED subtests.

All of this now changed as we saw the introduction of a new online GED test-taking option. If you want to learn more, go to ‘Introducing a new online GED testing option’.
