HSE testing is for adults who did not complete high school and gives them the opportunity to acquire an equivalent degree.

The GED exam measures proficiency at a level similar to that of graduating high school students

The GED is fully computerized and consists of four separate subtests in Literacy, Social studies, Math, and Science.

You can take the four GED subtests (modules) separately. No need to complete the GED battery in one take.

Online GED testing was, until recently, no option. You needed to show up at an official Minnesota GED test center and take the four subtests in person. This has changed with the arrival of a new online proctored GED testing option. Read more below.

The first element is the “Bridge Class” where students can explore options for healthcare careers while they, at the same time, will get ready for college. Successful students will proceed to South Central College where they will attend the courses Medical Terminology and Basic Nursing 101.

Upon completion of the program, they will earn a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certificate. The Bridge Class is offered free of charge and the school also offers scholarships to help pay for the cost of tuition and books.

Online GED testing introduced

You could, until recently, not take the GED test over the internet. To earn a GED, you had to appear, personally, at an official Minnesota GED test center and deal with the four GED tests face-to-face. Now, all of this has changed with the introduction of an online GED test-taking option. More information can be found here: ‘Online GED testing’.
