In this article, you can discover all GED® prep facilities and testing sites in the Eau Claire region. Wisconsin is using the GED exam for its high school equivalency (HSE) testing program.
GED testing can be done online and stat certified Wisconsin GED test facilities.
The HSE program offers adults who never completed high school another shot at earning an equivalent degree.
HSE testing is done at a similar level as what high school students must command upon graduation.
There are four separate GED modules (or subtests) in Literacy, Math, Science, and Social Studies.
The four GED subtests can be dealt with one at a time. There’s no need to sit for the entire GED exam in one take.
Until recently, to earn your HSE diploma, you were required to come in person at a state-approved GED testing site.
Now, however, that has changed with the arrival of the online GED testing option. Learn more at the bottom of this page.
Wisconsin GED applicants also need to take and pass a Civics Exam.

Introducing an online GED testing option
Taking the GED test on the internet was, until recently, not available. Students who were looking to secure their GED diplomas had to show up personally at an official Wisconsin GED testing facility.
Now, this has all changed as we witnessed the introduction of the online proctored GED test. Qualifying students who opt for online testing will be guided by an online proctor who oversees if all goes according to the rules. If you want to learn more about this great new option, visit this page: Introducing a new online GED testing option.
