GED Classes Newark, New Jersey

This article includes a listing of all GED® prep sites and test centers in the Newark NJ area.

New Jersey welcomed multiple options for HSE (high school equivalency) testing, the TASC, HiSET, and GED exams.

HSE testing provides people who did not graduate from high school with the chance to obtain an equivalent credential.

The GED exam has four individual subtests in English Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, and Science.

You are given two years from initial registration to complete the four GED modules.

The TASC and HiSET tests have five tests (that can also be taken individually) as their literacy sections include separate writing and reading tests.

In New Jersey, all three options must be taken on a computer. Here we list all options in the Newark area.

The advantages

Get A Nicer Job – the majority of American jobs require an employee to have earned a high school diploma or HSE certificate. Official GED, TASC, and HiSET transcripts are recognized by the majority of employers as equivalent to a high school diploma. Beef Up Your Self-Respect – by earning your HSE credential you will feel proud to have reached something that will be beneficial to your life. You have shown yourself and the world around you that you have the ability to accomplish whatever you set their minds to.

Continue Your Academic Education – by the time you have secured your HSE diploma, you can move on with a college education. The HSE credential is regarded as the equivalency to a high school degree by practically all colleges and universities in the USA. Invest In Your Own Future – what you have learned, you will pass on to your children. Developing healthy learning skills will help you pass these habits on to your children.  The knowledge you acquire in the process of getting a GED diploma will positively affect your children.

The GED – what’s new

Most people will know that the GED program was totally revised. Because the GED exam was getting too expensive and offered only on a computer, other providers developed similar assessment systems. These programs help people who weren’t able to finish their high school education by offering another chance to demonstrate that they possess the knowledge and skills at the level of the average high school graduate. For decades, the GED exam was the only possibility for them, and that’s over now.

Visit also local job fairs and some business or education events to learn all about work opportunities and your diploma will get you into college as well! The GED program has a long-standing history of helping people to achieve a better financial future and better overall health in general. This is one of the main objectives of the GED program.

You may also take advantages of this website’s services in the form of hundreds of free practice tests and highly effective video instruction. You don’t need to register or leave an email address; just start learning for your GED, HiSET, or TASC exam and get the job or academic education you deserve! Our help is available at no cost whatsoever.

GED price

Quite a few states decided to drop the GED exam and replace it with the TASC or HiSET (or both). Many other states have been seeking an alternative to the GED exam because the former non-profit program has now changed to become a for-profit company.

New higher fees for the GED exam make it expensive for states who offer the High School Equivalency (HSE) test for its residents, or for individuals if they have to cover the costs themselves. All three alternatives are now only available on a computer in New Jersey.

The GED test is $120 for the set of four tests ($30 per subtest), and HiSET and TASC are a bit cheaper.
