Posted here are all GED class locations and testing sites in the Paterson area. New Jersey offers two exams for High School Equivalency testing, the HiSET and GED tests.

The GED and HiSET exams are available in an online format and at state-approved test centers. The TASC program was discontinued.
The assessments offer persons who could complete high school the opportunity to obtain an equivalent diploma.
The GED® has four separate tests (modules) in
- Social Studies
- Science
- Math
- English Language Literacy
These modules can be written separately and in any order.
The HiSET® has five tests as the section Literacy has individual writing and reading tests. These tests can be taken separately as well.

In New Jersey, the exams are only available in a computer-based form (both options).
Online testing was never an option. Test-takers had to report, in person, to an official New Jersey test center.

Introducing GED and HiSET Online Testing Options
Until recently, taking the HiSET or GED exam over the Internet was never an option. The exams were just not available via the Internet. Well, that has changed with the introduction of both an online HiSET option and a new online GED testing option.
