GED Classes Newark New Jersey

This article includes a listing of all GED prep sites and test centers in the Newark, New Jersey, area. New Jersey no longer uses the HiSET exam for high school equivalency testing.

The GED test is available online (for qualifying candidates) and at certified testing facilities.

The assessment gives people who did not graduate from high school the chance to obtain an equivalent credential.

This website offers free GED classes online and GED practice tests to help you discover if learning online is right for you. However, some GED students perform better if they study at one of the locations listed here under the supervision of a teacher.

If online learning is something for you, we recommend you continue Onsego GED Online Prep, a course that GED Testing Service qualifies as “Fully GED Test Aligned.”

The GED exam has four individual subtests in

• English Language Arts
• Math
• Social Studies
• Science

You don’t need to complete the four GED modules (subtests) in one take. You can deal with them one at a time.

In the past, online high school equivalency (HSE) testing was no option. Recently, that has changed, however. Check below for information on the newly introduced online GED test-taking option.

To sit for the GED exam in an online format was, until recently, no option. Your personal appearance at an official New Jersey testing facility was required. Recently, however, that’s changed as an online option for the GED exam was introduced.
