In this post, we list all GED prep locations and testing sites in the Minneapolis region. Minnesota uses the computer-based GED exam for high school equivalency testing.

GED testing can be done online and at state-approved Minnesota GED testing centers.

The GED exam is a set of four separate tests developed for people who never finished high school.

This way, they can earn an equivalent degree. Testing is done at a level that compares to that of graduating high school seniors.

Some GED students get better prepared for the challenging GED test if they learn at one of the physical class sites listed in this post. Other students do better if they get all set with an online program.

The exam has four individual subtests measuring a candidate’s proficiency in these subjects:

These four tests can be completed separately and in any desired order.

It used to be that online GED testing was not possible. However, this has recently changed with the introduction of a new online test-taking option. Read more below.

Testing happens at a level comparable to what high school seniors must command upon graduation.

Online GED Testing

Until a few years back, GED testing over the Internet was not an option. To get hold of your Minnesota GED credential, your personal appearance at one of Minnesota’s state-designated GED testing sites was required. You had to take the four GED subtests face-to-face.
