This article lists all GED and HiSET prep facilities and testing centers in the Elkhart area.
So Indiana is using two options for the state’s high school equivalency testing program.
The HiSET® exam, like the GED®, gives adults who never finished high school the opportunity to get hold of an equivalent diploma.
The HiSET and GED exams measure knowledge at a level that’s similar to what high school seniors must master at graduation.
The HiSET exam includes five subtests in science, math, English writing, English reading, and social studies.
The GED exam has merged these subjects into one English Language Arts sub-exam, so there are four GED subtests.
HiSET testing is possible on paper and in a computerized format, while the GED exam is only offered on a computer. If you wish, you can take the four GED or five HiSET subtests separately.
You can take both the GED and HiSET exams at an official Indiana testing site or in an online proctored format.
