HiSET testing involves five subtests in

- Social Studies
The GED has combined English reading and English writing into one Language Arts subtest, so the exam has four separate sub-exams.
HiSET testing can be done on paper or on a computer, whereas the GED is entirely computer-based. Online HiSET and GED testing is now also an option for qualifying students.

This is not a GED program, but La Casa de Amistad offers an after-school Enrichment Program (Adelante) for high and middle school students.
