This post includes a complete overview of GED prep facilities and testing sites in the Kalamazoo region. Michigan offers two options for high school equivalency testing, the GED and HiSET.
Both exams can be taken online and at certified testing centers. More information about online GED and HiSET testing can be found below.
The exams give persons who left high school without graduating an extra option to secure an equivalent degree.
Both tests measure knowledge at a similar level as what is expected of graduating HS students.
GED® testing involves four subtests in Literacy, Social Studies, Math, and Science that can be taken one (or more) at a time.
The HiSET® exam comes with separate reading and writing subtests, so five overall, that can be taken individually as well.
