Bristol Adult Education provides GED preparation classes to students who are at least 17 years old, but they must have been officially withdrawn from high school for at least a period of six months before they are eligible to take the GED test. Adults who want to sign up for the school’s GED classes must first attend an orientation & registration sessions to determine their level of education and to ensure proper placement.
Additionally, they must take pre-tests to assess their skill levels in the exam’s subject fields of math, reading, and writing. The school provides individualized instruction, based on the results of these pre-tests. Instruction starts with basic skills and later includes instruction in critical thinking, writing skills, and math applications to ensure students will be successful on the GED exam.

What is the GED?
The GED (General Education Development) exam is a set of four independent tests that are developed for adults who never completed high school and offers them a second possibility to earn a comparable credential. The GED diploma is nationwide regarded as equivalent to a high school degree by governmental organizations, employers, and colleges and universities.
The GED exam comes with four tests on the academic subject fields of Science, Social Studies, Math, and Literacy and passing the exam will generate far better employment options and allow for further academic education as the GED diploma is seen as equivalent to a high school diploma.
