GED Classes Hattiesburg, Mississippi

This page includes a full listing of GED® classes and testing sites in the Hattiesburg region. Mississippi is using three options for HSE (High School Equivalency) testing, the HiSET, GED, and TASC.

HSE testing gives people who didn’t graduate high school one more chance to secure an equivalent diploma.

The GED exam is entirely computerized while the TASC and HiSET are offered in two formats: on paper and on a computer.

The GED has four individual subtests (modules) in Math, Social Studies, Science, and Literacy that can be completed separately.

The TASC and HiSET have individual writing and reading tests, so five in total, that can be taken separately, too.

So far, online HSE testing was not possible. Recently, however, that has changed as we witnessed the arrival of online GED and HiSET test-taking options. Read more at the bottom of this post.

Online HiSET and GED testing options introduced

Until recently, there never had been any GED, TASC, or HiSET test-taking option over the internet. Now, things changed. You were always required to come to one of Mississippi’s state-approved HSE testing facilities.

But recently, we saw the introduction of online HiSET and GED testing options as well. You can learn more on these pages: for online HiSET testing check out HiSET online testing welcomed, and for the online GED testing option visit: GED online testing option welcomed.
