This page lists all GED prep sites and testing centers in the Grand Rapids, Michigan, region. Michigan is using two options for high school equivalency testing, the GED and HiSET exams.

Both tests are offered in an online format and at state-designated test centers. Check below to read more about online HiSET and GED testing.

The assessments give adults who quit high school before graduating one more shot at obtaining an equivalent degree.

Testing takes place at a level that compares to that of graduating HS seniors.

The GED exam has four subject tests in

• Math
• Social Studies
• Science
• Language Arts

These sub-exams may be taken one (or more) at a time and in the order you want.

The HiSET exam includes individual Reading and Writing tests, so five overall, that can also be taken separately.

The HiSET exam is available on paper and on computer, whereas the GED is offered exclusively in a computer-based format.
