Online GED Testing

Until recently, sitting for the GED exam via the Internet was not an option. You needed to come, in person, to an official Connecticut GED testing facility if you wanted to secure your high school equivalency degree.

Well, all of that has now changed as an online proctored GED testing option was introduced that uses an online proctor to guide you through the entire process. More information can be found here: Introducing the online proctored GED test.

Better Earnings with a GED

People with a GED or high school diploma earn, on average, some $9,600 more than those who do not hold the credential.

Studies carried out by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics indicate that the median earnings on a weekly basis for individuals without a GED or high school degree were $493 in 2020, which translates to $25,636 annually for full-time jobs.

For workers with a GED or high school diploma, the median weekly earnings average around $755 (2022), so you see, getting your GED will definitely help you to earn a better salary!
