Posted here are all GED® prep sites and testing facilities in the Stamford area. Connecticut is using the GED test for High School Equivalency (HSE) testing.
GED testing offers people who didn’t graduate high school another shot at securing an equivalent degree.
The GED exam assesses proficiency at a level similar to that of graduating high school students.
There are four GED subject tests in Literacy, Social Studies, Math, and Science that can be taken separately.
Online GED testing is NOT possible. You must come to an official Connecticut GED test site and sir for the tests in person.

Stamford Adult Education is providing a GED program to get residents of Stamford, Darien, and New Canaan ready to sit for the GED exam successfully. Applicants who are, at the time of registration, 17 or 18 years old must have a written and signed document stating that they are withdrawn from school for the duration of at least six months.
Additionally, those who are 17 must present a withdrawal and consent form signed by a parent or guardian. Applicants 18 years old can, instead of a withdrawal form, submit an official document from the school they last attended stating that their high school class has graduated.
All applicants must take a pre-test upon registration, and, depending on their test results, they will be able to sit for the GED State exam, or that they must first attend preparation classes to reach a suitable level of knowledge and skills.
