Introducing Online GED Testing
Until recently, taking the Florida GED test had never been an option via the Internet. To get hold of your GED diploma, you needed to come, in person, to one of Florida’s state-approved GED testing centers and pass four GED subtests.
Now, with the introduction of an online, proctored GED testing option, that is changing. Visit ‘Introducing the online GED test’ to learn more. Note, however, that Florida suspended the online GED test on 1-10-24.

Online Learning
Online learning has become very popular and for good reasons. In our contemporary, fast-paced society, it’s very practical since you can learn when and where suits you best. Keep in mind, however, that online learning requires a decent portion of self-discipline.
The fact of the matter is that in today’s economy, holding at least a high school or GED degree is actually invaluable. To secure a decently-paying job, you need your high school or GED diploma. To save time and money, taking an online class just makes sense.
GED Passing Score
Your GED results are calibrated on a scale running from 100 to 200. The passing score on each of the four independent GED modules is 145. There is NO averaging, so you’ll need to attain this score on each of the four tests. There are four GED scoring ranges:
- Below passing scores: 100-144
- High school equivalent scores: 145-164
- College-ready scores: 165-174
- College-ready + credits scores: 175-200
