  • Having a poor GED test-taking technique can cost you your diploma.
  • Don’t allow this to happen to you!

The GED exam measures academic proficiency via four individual subtests (modules) in social studies, literacy, math, and science.

Testing is done at a level that’s comparable to that of high school seniors upon graduation.

You can take one subtest at a time as long as you finish the entire GED battery within two years.

How to write the GED essay

GED preparation

Be certain to show up at a designated Florida testing site well prepared. This post lists all prep sites in the Fort Lauderdale area and online preparation may also be a good option. You can also find lots of preparation resources at local libraries and bookstores that will get you all set to take the four GED tests successfully.

GED registration

You must register online at GED.com and create an account with the online portal MyGED. This is also the location where you can find all sorts of very useful information about employment opportunities, continued education, payment processes, and so on. You now can take (and pay for) one subject each time you want to sit for the test. Completion of all four tests me be within two years.

Is the GED available online?

No, you CANNOT take the GED test online, you must come to an official testing center in person. Websites that claim differently are false. Documents acquired over the Internet have no value whatsoever and will definitely not be accepted by schools and future employers.

GED and the economy

In America, there are some 4,3 million available jobs and if there are not enough qualified and skilled workers, the national economy might be threatened.

Achieving the GED diploma or certificate can help deal with this economic challenge because every year, the GED opens the doors to colleges and universities, apprenticeships and better jobs for over half a million adults.

This is the pathway for many adults to develop their skills and knowledge so they will be able to better care for their families.
