The exams offer individuals who never graduated high school one more shot at earning an equivalent diploma.
Testing occurs at a level that is similar to what HS school seniors must command when they graduate.
The GED has four separate subtests (independent modules) that assess a student’s academic knowledge level in these subjects:
- Mathematical Reasoning
- Reasoning through Language Arts
- Science, including Physics, Chemistry, and Earth and Space Science
- Social Studies, including History, Economics, and Government
The four computer-based GED modules may be written separately and in any order.
