The GED exam is fully computer-based and can be taken at official testing centers and online.

The exam is for adults who did not finish high school and provides an opportunity to get hold of an equivalent degree.

Testing takes place at a level similar to what HS students must understand upon graduation. The GED® has four independent tests covering the academic subject areas of

• Language Arts
• Science
• Social Studies

These modules may be taken separately and in any order.

Welcoming the GED Online Exam

In the past, if you were looking to sit for the Texas HSE (high school equivalency) exam, you were required to show up in person at one of Texas’ official HSE testing sites. Online testing was just never an option. But this has changed now with the arrival of the online proctored GED test.
