GED Classes Paris, Texas

This page lists all available GED® prep class sites and testing locations in the Paris region. The state also offers an alternative testing option for HSE (high school equivalency) testing, the HiSET exam.

Both the GED and HiSET are available at certified testing centers and in online formats.

The HSE program offers adults who haven’t finished high school the opportunity to earn an equivalent degree.

Both options assess fundamental knowledge at a level that is similar to that of graduating HS seniors.

The GED exam includes four separate subject test in Science, Social Studies, Math, and Literacy.

You don’t have to deal with the four GED subtests (modules) in one take.

The HiSET exam has five tests (separate writing and reading tests) that can also be taken separately.

The GED exam is fully computerized whereas the HiSET is offered both on paper and on a computer.

In the past, online HSE testing was never an option. You had to appear personally at an official Texas testing facility.

Well, this has changed with the introduction of online HiSET and GED testing options. Read more below at the bottom of this page.

Introducing the online GED and HiSET exams

In the past, both HSE tests needed to be taken, in-person, at one of Texas’ official HSE (high school equivalency) testing centers. Online testing simply didn’t exist. That is, until recently, as we saw the introduction of both online proctored GED and HiSET test-taking options.

If you would like to learn more about the recently launched online HiSET testing option, go to this article: Introducing the online HiSET test, and to learn all about the new online proctored GED testing option, visit Introducing the online proctored GED test.
