The Online GED Test
In earlier days, there was never the option to sit for the four GED modules over the Internet. If you were looking to earn your GED diploma in Washington State, you were always required to show up in person at an official, state-recognized GED testing center.
This has changed, however, with the introduction of an online option to take the GED exam. If you qualify for the online GED testing option and decide to do that, you’ll see an online proctor who monitors your testing activities and checks if you do it all in line with the rules. For more detailed information, go to ‘Introducing the online GED test.’
When you’re thinking about taking the online GED test, be aware that online testing requires that you first reach passing results on a GED Ready practice test for each of the four GED sub-exams. So, that’s four GED Ready practice tests overall, setting you back an additional $32 (each practice test is $7.99).
Students learning for their GED with an Onsego Advantage Plan are lucky! Since all Onsego Advantage Plans include four vouchers for the GED Ready test, they don’t need to buy any of these practice tests. That’s an incredible $32 value bonus, don’t you agree?
