GED testing is possible at state-designated testing facilities and online. However, Florida suspended online GED testing on Jan 10, 2024. Check below for more information about taking the GED test online.

The exam allows individuals who never graduated high school to earn an equivalent degree.

Testing takes place at a level comparable to that of graduating high school seniors.

The GED exam consists of four independent subtests (modules) that cover the fields of

  • Language Arts
  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • Social Studies

You can take and prepare for one (or more) of the four GED modules (subtests) at a time and in the order you prefer.

Introducing the Online Proctored GED Test

To take the GED test, there had never been an option over the Internet. Until recently, that is. If you wanted to earn your GED credential, you had to show up in person at an official GED testing facility to pass the four GED subtests.

Well, the introduction of the online proctored GED test has changed that. Visit ‘The online proctored GED test’ to learn more. Please note that per Jan. 10, 2024, Florida has suspended online GED testing.
