GED Study Guide Florida

Pinellas County GED

Pinellas County leads Florida in the number of earned GED diplomas. Offering educational opportunities belongs to the Pinellas County Schools’ overall vision, and the schools work hard to gain their 100 percent success mission in educating and preparing all student for a college education, career development, and the challenges of life in general.

GED cost

Pinellas County had already upped the GED exam passing score for applicants aged 16 and 17, who are only permitted to sit for the exam when they submit written permission from a parent or guardian. Nationwide, the regulations and requirements to sit for GED exam are determined by GED Testing Service in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Education, but these rules only apply to candidates aged 18 and older.

The cost for GED classes in Florida is $30 per term and the four-test GED exam fee is $120 ($30 per test).

Preparation is key

The GED exam is only available in a computer-based format, and if you want to acquire your GED diploma, make sure you appear at an official GED testing site fully prepared. The GED test isn’t that easy to pass, so good preparation is key.

Can I take the GED tests online?

Don’t get fooled by internet sites that claim they can provide the GED tests or the diploma online, this is fraudulent information. The only thing these con artists are after is your money and their so-called diplomas or tests are worthless.

The GED exam is NOT available over the internet and despite all new technological developments will you still need to go to a state-approved assessment center and take the four tests (one at a time if you wish within a 2-year period) in person. It’s okay to study for the GED online, and this website provides also totally free GED video lessons.
