Florida uses the GED exam for its HSE (high school equivalency) testing program.

The HSE program gives adults who could not finish high school the chance to earn an equivalent degree.

The GED exam contains four subtests in these academic fields: Math, Science, Literacy, and Social Studies.

You have the option to take one (or more) subtest at a time and your scores will be good for two years from your first registration.

Online GED testing is NO option. Testing must be done at specific Florida GED testing sites.

Twenty percent of Goodwill’s employees don’t have a high school diploma and the fund is set up to change that. Great initiative!

How to choose online GED classes

GED and the economy

By working towards and getting your  GED certificate, you definitely will be able to secure one of the 4 million unfilled jobs that require a high school diploma or GED. These are all well-paying GED Diplomapositions and there are plenty available. All you need to is concentrate on preparing for the GED exam.

By achieving this you not only will improve your income and the lives of the people around you, but you’ll be helping improve the economy as a whole as well. Studying for and securing your GED degree will be your first major on the road to a brighter future and a better life. In Florida, the GED exam costs $128 for the entire battery or $32 per subject test.

GED eligibility requirements

In Florida, you need to be at least 16 years of age, and overseas applicants need to be no younger than 17. In case you are 16 or 17 years old, you are required to present a signed Underage Permission Form (Age Waiver) at the test site before you can take the exam.

You cannot hold a secondary education credential and not be enrolled in another school program. For qualification requirements go to Florida GED testing requirements.
