Like the GED®, the HiSET exam gives persons who could not graduate high school another opportunity to obtain an equivalent credential.
Testing occurs at a similar level as what may be expected of high school students upon graduation.
The HiSET exam is available in a paper-based version and on a computer and includes five tests in the content fields of writing, reading, math, science, and social studies.
