This post lists all GED prep class locations and testing sites in the Omaha region. Nebraska makes use of the computerized GED test for high school equivalency testing.
GED testing is available in an online format and at one of Nebraska’s official GED testing sites.
The exam gives persons who left high school without a diploma another chance at securing an equivalent diploma.
Some students perform better if they learn with a class at one of the physical sites listed on this page. Others can benefit from a good online course to get all set for the challenging GED exam.
Online GED Classes
A simple and easy way of getting your GED diploma.
BestGEDClasses provides free online GED classes to help you find out if learning with an online course is something for you.
If so, we recommend you go on with Onsego Online GED Prep. GED Testing Service has given Onsego the predicate “fully in line with the current GED exam.”
The GED exam has four subtests measuring academic proficiency in these subject fields:

- Social Studies
- Reasoning through Language Arts
You can take one subtest (module) at a time if you wish. No need to take it all in one session.
In earlier days, the GED test could not be taken online. You had to come to an official Nebraska test center and sit for the test in person.
Recently, however, that has changed with the arrival of an online proctored GED test-taking option. For more details, check the bottom of this post.
All over North America, the GED credential is recognized just like a regular high school diploma by virtually all schools and employers.

The Online Proctored GED Test
In the past, taking the four GED subtests was never an option. If you wished to acquire your Nebraska GED degree, you had to come personally to an official Nebraska GED test center. Recently, though, we saw the launch of a new online proctored option to deal with the GED exam.
So that has all changed. If you opt for online GED testing, an online proctor will check whether you act in accordance with the strict regulations. To learn more about this great development, visit this page: ‘Welcoming the online GED test.’
