GED Classes Lincoln Nebraska

This article contains an overview of all GED prep sites and test centers in the Lincoln region. In Nebraska, adults wishing to earn their high school equivalency diploma must pass the GED test.

GED testing can be done online and at state-approved test centers. The assessment gives adults who didn’t graduate from high school the opportunity to earn an equivalent credential.

The computer-based GED exam measures knowledge at a level that compares to that of graduating high school students.

There are four independent GED modules (independent subtests) covering

• English Language Literacy
• Mathematics
• Science
• Social Studies

You may write these sub-exams (independent modules) one (or more) at a time and in your desired order.

Online testing was, until recently, never an option. Test-takers had to show up in person at an official Nebraska GED testing site.

Now, however, we’ve witnessed the launch of an online proctored GED testing option. Check the bottom of this page for more information.

GED students can start at any time. GED classes at The HUB are free, and assistance may also be available to help students pay for the GED test.
The Hub additionally offers the Back on Track program at Lincoln High in partnership with Lincoln Public Schools for youth who are at risk of falling behind in credits, habitually truant, or facing other barriers preventing them from regular school attendance.

Introducing the Online GED Test

Until a few years back, online GED testing was not possible. If you wished to earn your Nebraska GED credential, you were required to show up personally at one of the state’s designated GED test centers and pass the four GED modules.
