GED Classes Ocala, Florida

Listed here are all GED® prep classes and testing facilities in the Ocala area.

Florida has welcomed the computer-formatted GED exam for its high school equivalency (HSE) testing program.

The GED program is geared towards adults who were not in the position to finish their high school education.

This way, they can get hold of a credential that’s across America accepted just like a common high school diploma by employers and schools.

The GED exam includes four separate subtests in Literacy, Math, Science, and Social Studies that must be completed within two years.

It is NOT possible to take the GED tests online. If you want to earn your GED diploma, you need to sit for the GED tests in person.

Can you get into the army with a GED?

GED – job options

In the US there are millions of men and women who don’t have a high school diploma, and completion of the new computer-formatted GED test will lead to better work opportunities, open up the doors to universities, and make it possible to build a better future.

The upgraded GED exam

The new method of testing makes sure the GED test is again aligned with employers requests to instruct students more according to real-life situations and the reality of the contemporary work floor. In the past, there was growing concern that certified employees not always properly trained to perform well in the work environment.

The new GED exam has taken this seriously and has dealt with that flaw. Successful employees can analyze situations and think of the right reaction. Additionally, educational institutions need students who are educated in a way that they can follow their programs and won’t be disappointed.

Can I take the GED exam online?

No, that’s not possible. There are quite a few unscrupulous people who are offering the GED exam over the internet, but please understand that the GED exam is NOT available online. Any website offering the GED test over the internet is fraudulent. To acquire your GED credential you must come to one of the state’s test sites and take the tests in person. Online GED preparatory courses are fine, though, so take advantage of our entirely free GED video prep program.

The GED exam has a total of four tests on the topics of social studies, math, science, and literacy. All applicants will be assessed to see their educational level via the TABE (test of adult basic education) exam, and the minimum age to sit for the GED tests is 18 years old (on testing day).

Younger candidates (16 or 17 years of age) must comply with strict regulations. They must be officially withdrawn from high school, they must have an Early Testing Waiver and provide written permission from a parent/guardian.

There is a registration and TABE fee of $20 for new applicants, and GED class tuition is $30. At the school’s main campus (2001 Kurt Street, Eustis) GED prep classes are offered Mondays through Fridays from 8:00 a.m. – 2:45 p.m. For more information, you can call the school at 352-589-2250 ext. 1870.
