  • English Language
  • Social Studies
  • Math
  • Science

You have the option to take the four GED modules one (or more) at a time, and in the order you wish. Testing occurs at a level similar to that expected of graduating high schoolers.

The Online GED Test

Taking the GED exam online was never an option. You needed to come personally to one of Connecticut’s official GED testing sites to earn your high school equivalency diploma, and that’s still the case in Connecticut.

In most states, however, that changed some years back with the arrival of the online proctored GED test, where an online proctor will guide you through the test-taking process.

If you want to write the GERD test online in another, residency-free state, there are requirements to qualify. Go to this article, ‘The online GED test’ for more information.

You are eligible only for online GED testing after you have reached passing scores (in the ‘green’ section) on the GED Ready practice test.

There are four GED Ready tests to take (one per subject), each costing $7.99, so that’ll be $32 on top of the GED testing costs in that state.

Free GED Ready Test Vouchers

Onsego Advantage students get four GED Ready test vouchers at no extra cost! That’s part of their Advantage Plan, a great $32 saving.

Onsego’s plans are very affordable, starting at just $79, and this option includes the four free GED Ready vouchers as well.
