The HSE test offers persons who never graduated high school the opportunity to obtain an equivalent credential.

Testing is done at a level that is comparable to that of high school grads.

The GED includes four modules, or subtests, in the academic fields of literacy, social studies, math, and science.

You have the option to complete the four subtests of the GED battery one at a time.

Until recently, online GED testing was not possible. Now, there is an online proctored GED test-taking option, however, so that has changed. Read more below.

GED Idaho free online classes

North Idaho Coll. (St. Maries Center)
3rd & Jefferson, St. Maries, Idaho 83861, Ph: 208-582-1907
North Idaho College provides GED preparation classes (as part of the school’s ABE – adult basic education – program) developed to help individuals 16 and older who quit school prematurely and who need assistance to get ready to take the GED exam. The classes are also open to adult learners who did graduate but would like to brush up their knowledge and basic skills.

These GED prep classes are free and practically all study materials are provided at no cost as well. In the ABE (Adult Basic Education) program, students can study at their own speed, and the school offers lessons in small groups, to achieve the best results for each individual learner.

The school provides course instruction on the four segments of the GED exam: Literacy, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. Applicants who are younger than 18 must present a school-signed age waiver application form, and a parent/guardian consent form.

Are perhaps any adjustments needed? Have we missed a facility? Please let us know here. Thank you.

Online GED test

In the past, taking the GED test online had never been an option. To earn your Idaho GED credential, you were required to come, in person, to one of Idaho’s state-designated GED GED test sites.

Now, with the arrival of an online proctored GED test-taking possibility, all of that has changed. A proctor will help you with the online process and check if you do everything in line with the regulations. For more information, visit: ‘Introducing a new online GED Test-taking option’.
