North Idaho College provides GED preparation classes (as part of the school’s ABE – adult basic education – program) developed to help individuals 16 and older who quit school prematurely and who need assistance to get ready to take the GED exam. The classes are also open to adult learners who have graduated but would like to brush up on their knowledge and basic skills.
These GED prep classes are free, and practically all study materials are provided at no cost as well. In the ABE (Adult Basic Education) program, students can study at their own speed, and the school offers lessons in small groups to achieve the best results for each individual learner.
The school provides course instruction on the four segments of the GED exam: Literacy, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. Applicants who are younger than 18 must present a school-signed age waiver application form and a parent/guardian consent form.
Online GED Test
In the past, taking the GED test online had never been an option. To earn your Idaho GED credential, you were required to come, in person, to one of Idaho’s state-designated GED test sites.
Now, with the arrival of an online proctored GED test-taking possibility, all of that has changed. A proctor will help you with the online process and check if you do everything in line with the regulations. For more information, visit: ‘Introducing the online GED test.’
