This article posts all GED® prep class locations and testing sites in the Montgomery area. In Alabama, people looking to earn a high school equivalency (HSE) diploma, need to pass the GED exam.
Online GED testing is now also possible with the introduction of the online proctored (OP) GED exam. Read more below.
The HSE program offers adults who never graduated high school another chance to acquire an equivalent diploma.
GED testing is fully computerized and done at a level that compares to that of graduating HS students.
Testing occurs via four independent subtests (modules) in Literacy (Reasoning through Language Arts), Social Studies, Math (Mathematical Reasoning), and Science.
You may take one (or more) of the GED subtests at a time.
Earning a GED diploma will certainly lead to better employment options and allows for a college education.

Introducing the online GED exam
Sitting for the GED exam can be done online now as well. It was that every GED test-taker needed to come to an official Alabama GED test center personally to earn a high school equivalency diploma.
Well, fortunately, that had now changed. GED testing is available online as well with the help of an online proctor. More details can be found in this post: online proctored GED testing.
