GED Essay Sample

What is the GED

The GED exam is series of four tests which measure a student’s knowledge in math, sciences, social studies and literacy at the level that may be expected from graduating high school seniors. In order to successfully sit for the test, students must understand common knowledge in all the subjects, which would then be tested using a system that leads to the high school equivalency diploma.

Is an online course for me?

If you want to apply for a GED but don’t have a lot of time to commit to an actual class, online programs would be your next option. The main advantage of signing up for online classes is the convenience of studying from your home and the freedom to create your own schedule. But although the GED is a somewhat basic level degree, it still requires preparation in order to score well, and that means setting up a detailed plan to study and seek help with any topic you find challenging.

As you continue with research and math practice lessons, you will find that you have a natural knack to understand certain subjects and that would be a great indication of your natural talents, and therefore, your best career path. Some people are good in math and sciences, and some are better with languages and the arts. Find out what your area of expertise is and work on it by learning more, then find out how that knowledge can help get you to your career.

GED passing score

The required minimum score for each test was initially set at 150 on a 100-200 scale. In March 2016, this minimum score was brought down to 145 because research had indicated that the level was set a little bit too high.

GED registration

Visit GED.com for all relevant information and when you register with the portal MyGED, you get access to a great portal that takes you right through all processes. This is also the place for scheduling your tests, checking your scores, and a lot more.

GED jobs

For a lot of people struggling with career choices, one of the more common ways to find out which career to follow is to use an online career quiz, which indicates your best career options and narrows your focus to a few specific careers. By using your answers, the career program presents one or more careers that you would be good at.

When you finally decide on one field, you can then focus all your energy on getting there, and that means more study. The good thing about higher education is that you can take online classes and still maintain your day job, allowing you to work, pay your rent and still advance in your career.

Can I take the GED exam online?

No, you cannot. If you want to earn your GED  credential you still must report to a registered GED testing and sit in person to sit for the tests. The GED tests are just not offered via the internet. Online-obtained documents are worthless and will definitely not be accepted by schools or employers. Online-obtained documents are worthless and will definitely not be accepted by schools or employers.
