The exam is for adults who never graduated high school and gives them the opportunity to earn an equivalent degree.

The GED® exam includes four independent tests on the subject fields of Literacy, Science, Social Studies, and Math.

You have the liberty to take one or more of the four GED subtests (modules) at a time.

The GED test is pretty challenging. The four subtests measure knowledge at a level similar to what high school seniors must know at graduation.

Until recently, online GED testing was not possible. You needed to come to a state-approved Wisconsin GED testing site and to sit for the four subtests in person.

That has now changed, however, with the launch of an online proctored GED testing option. For more information, check the bottom of this page.

Wisconsin requires GED applicants also to take and pass the state’s 100-questions Civics test.

Launching The Online Proctored GED Test

Taking the GED exam online was, until recently, not an option. If you wanted to get hold of your GED degree, your personal appearance at one of Wisconsin’s state-recognized GED testing facilities was required.

Well, this has now ended as we recently witnessed the arrival of an online proctored GED way to take the GED exam. If you qualify for taking the GED exam online, a proctor will monitor your testing activities online to ensure everything occurs in line with the rules. For more information about this great development, visit Launching the online proctored GED test.
