This article lists all GED® preparatory locations and testing sites in the Longview region. Washington State uses the computer-based GED exam for its HSE (High School Equivalency) testing program.
GED testing can be done online and at state-approved official GED testing sites.
The HSE test offers persons who never completed high school another shot at securing an equivalent credential.
Testing is done on a similar level as what HS students must command upon graduation.
The GED includes four independent subject tests in the fields of math, science, literacy, and social studies.
You have the freedom to sit for one of the four subtests (modules) when you’re ready to do so. No need to take it all in one session.
In the past, there never was a way to deal with the GED exam online. Your personal appearance was required at an official GED test center.
This has changed now as we saw the introduction of the online proctored GED exam. Check the bottom of this post for more information.

Can I join the army with a GED?Your future
Having a GED diploma will certainly improve your employment chances and allow for a college education. In the U.S. there are many millions of people who do not hold a high school diploma, and completing the GED (General Education Development) exam successfully will give you the chance to enter colleges and universities, and substantially develop options for improved earnings and job prospects.
Launching an online GED testing option
In earlier days, sitting for the GED exam via the internet was never an option. If you were looking to secure your GED credential, your appearance in person at an official Washington State designated GED testing center was required.
Well, recently there were some interesting developments as we witnessed the introduction of an online GED testing option. Qualifying students who choose to take the exam online will see a proctor who checks online whether they do everything in line with the rules. To read more about this online testing opportunity, visit Launching an online GED testing option.
