GED Classes Laredo, Texas

This page lists all GED® classes and testing centers in the Laredo region. Texas is using the GED exam for HSE (high school equivalency) testing.

The GED test is given at state-certified test centers or in an online format for qualifying testers.

We recommend the Online GED Program from Onsego. It’s Simple, Fast & Easy. Onsego Provides Everything You Need To Get Your GED. Learn More.

The GED test is giving persons who left high school prematurely another opportunity to earn an equivalent degree.

The GED has four subtests in Literacy, Social Studies, Science, and Math that don’t need to be taken in one session.

GED testing is entirely computer-based and the four subtests can be taken in English or Spanish.

The GED exam is administered at a level comparable to what HS students must know when they graduate.

It used to be that there was no GED testing offered over the internet. Testing had to be done at official Texas HSE testing sites.

Onsego GED Prep is a fast and easy way of getting the GED Diploma. We highly recommend it. Learn more

Welcoming online proctored GED testing

In the past, the GED exam always had to be taken, in-person, at one of Texas’ state-approved HSE (high school equivalency) test locations. There simply was never an online HSE test. Recently, however, this has changed as we witnessed the launch of the online proctored GED test.

To learn more about this new online proctored GED test-taking option, see this page: Introducing online proctored GED testing.
