On this page, we list all GED® prep locations and testing sites in the Corpus Christi region. Texas uses three options for HSE (high school equivalency) testing, the HiSET, GED, and TASC.
HSE testing gives persons who never graduated high school the chance to obtain an equivalent degree.
HSE testing takes place at a similar level as what students must master when they graduate from high school.
The GED is computer-based and HiSET and TASC testing is offered in paper-based and computerized versions.
The GED has four subtests in literacy, math, science, and social studies that you must pass within a 2-year time frame.
The TASC and HiSET alternatives have five subtests (separate reading and writing tests) that can be taken separately, too.
