The GED exam can be taken in an online proctored format or at an official Texas testing facility.

These modules may be written individually. There’s no need to take the entire GED battery at once.

Until recently, there was no online GED testing possibility. Testing needed to be done at one of Texas’s official testing sites.

STC additionally offers a Continuing Education program that will simultaneously allow students to earn a GED and get certified in high-demand fields such as welding, EKG, phlebotomy, and more. Participants must have government-issued IDs, have been Texas residents for at least 1 year, and attain sufficient scores on a placement test.

Introducing the Online Proctored GED Test

In the past, the GED exam had to be taken in person at one of Texas’s state-designated HSE (high school equivalency) testing facilities. There was just no online GED testing option. But now, this has come to an end as we saw the launch of an online proctored GED testing option.
