GED Classes Lake Charles, Louisiana

Listed in this article are all GED® (HiSET® in Louisiana) class locations and testing sites in the Lake Charles area. Louisiana is offering the HiSET for its high school equivalency (HSE) testing program.

The HSE exam gives persons who did not graduate high school the opportunity to earn an equivalent degree.

The HiSET exam is offered both in a computer-based model and in a paper-and-pencil format.

The HiSET assesses knowledge at a level that may be expected of high school seniors upon graduation.

The HiSET exam contains five subtests in the fields of Writing, Reading, Social Studies, Math, and Science.

Until recently, to earn your high school equivalency diploma, you needed to show up in person at a state-approved HiSET testing center.

Now, however, we’ve witnessed the introduction of a new online HiSET testing option so that has changed. Read more below.

HiSET online testing option introduced

HiSET testing was, until recently, not offered over the internet. If you wanted to get hold of a Louisiana high school equivalency credential, you needed to come personally to an official Louisiana HiSET testing center. But now, all of this has changed as a new HiSET online testing option (called the HiSET-At-Home) was introduced.

So now you can take the five HiSET modules (one or more at a time if you wish) from your home utilizing a new online format where a proctor will cee if your test-taking efforts occur in line with strict regulations. If you want to read more, go to this page: ‘New HiSET Onljne Testing Option Introduced‘.
