There are five HiSET subtests in the subject fields of math, science, writing, reading, and social studies.
The assessment is offered in both a paper- and a computer-based format.
Online HiSET testing was, until recently, no option. You needed to come to an official Louisiana test center and sit for the test in person.

Louisiana Free HiSET Practice TestHiSET Testing Option Introduced
Until recently, the HiSET test was not offered via the internet. If you were looking to earn your high school equivalency diploma in Louisiana, your personal appearance at an official HiSET testing facility was required. But now, this has changed with the introduction of an online HiSET testing option called the HiSET-Exam-At-Home.
So today, you have the option to take the five HiSET subtests from your home with an online format that utilizes a proctor that checks if your test-taking process happens in line with very strict regulations. Visit ‘The Online HiSET Test’ to read more.
