This post includes a full listing of GED prep sites and test centers in the Gainesville area. In Florida, you must pass the four GED tests to secure your high school equivalency diploma.
The GED exam is given at state-approved test centers and online. Florida has, however, suspended the online GED test on 1-10-24. You can read more about online GED testing below.
The exam gives persons who didn’t graduate high school one more chance to secure an equivalent degree.
The GED has four independent modules that assess an applicant’s proficiency level in these subjects:

Introducing the Online GED Test
To sit for the Florida GED exam, there never was, until recently, an option over the Internet. If you were looking to get your GED, you were required to show up in person at one of Florida’s state-approved GED test centers and pass the four GED modules.
But now, with the introduction of the online, proctored GED exam, that has changed. An online proctor will help you through the GED test-taking process. Go to the post ‘The Online GED Exam’ to learn more. Please note, however, that the state of Florida has suspended online GED testing.
