Get Quickly Prepared To Pass The GED Test.
The assessments offer persons who didn’t complete high school the opportunity to get hold of an equivalent credential.
The GED® is entirely computer-based, while the HiSET® exam is offered both on-paper and on-computer.
Not all testing centers administer both options, so get well-informed. In Illinois, test takers must also pass a constitution exam.
The GED contains four individual modules (subtests) that can be completed one at a time.
The modules cover the fields of Social Studies, Science, Literacy, and Math.
The HiSET exam includes five subtests, as the Literacy part has individual reading and writing subtests. These subtests may also be taken one at a time.

Online GED And HiSET Testing
Until very recently, taking the GED or HiSET exam online was not possible. If you wished to earn a high school equivalency diploma, you had to show up at an official, state-designated testing site.
Now that has changed. Both the GED and the HiSET are now offered online with the use of an online proctor. If you want to learn more, go to these articles: ‘The online GED test’ and ‘The online HiSET at Home test.’
Illinois GED testers are also required to pass the state’s Constitution Test if they want to earn a GED.
