What’s on the GED Test

There are four separate GED modules (or subtests) in

  • Language Arts
  • Math
  • Science
  • Social Studies

The four GED subtests can be dealt with one at a time and in any order. There’s no need to sit for the entire GED exam in one session.

GED® testing is done at a level similar to what high schoolers must command upon graduation. Wisconsin GED applicants also need to take and pass a Civics Exam.

The Online GED Test

Taking the GED test over the Internet was, until a few years ago, not available. Students who were looking to secure their GED diplomas had to show up in person at an official Wisconsin GED testing facility.

Well, this all changed with the arrival of the online proctored GED test. Qualifying students who opt for online testing will be guided by an online proctor who oversees if all goes according to the rules.

If you want to learn more about this great new option, visit this page: Introducing the online GED exam.

Should we update or adjust this information? Do we have to add or delist a facility? Please advise us here.
