Introducing the GED Online Testing Option
It used to be that taking the GED exam over the Internet was not possible. You had to come personally to a state-designated Maryland GED test facility if you were looking to acquire your GED diploma.
Now, fortunately, that has changed. GED testing is now also possible in an online format where a proctor will oversee the test-taking process to make sure you do everything in accordance with the regulations. For more information, check out this post: The online proctored GED test.
The GED Ready Test
The GED Ready official practice test is about half as long as the actual GED test. There are four GED Ready tests, one for each of the test subject fields. You can buy the GED Ready test on the website GED.com at $6.99 each.
The GED Ready practice test includes questions that are similar to what you’ll find on the real thing in content, format, and difficulty level. This practice test is a great predictor of how you will perform on the real GED exam. You will receive a score report and advice on which topics and fields you should point your attention to.
Reduced Fees
First-time test-takers can now take the GED modules at a reduced rate. Maryland subsidized $21.75 for each sub-exam. The regular fee in Maryland is $36 per individual module (subtest), so 1st-time testers only have to pay $14.25 per subtest if they use the “Maryland Subsidy Discount Code” (MDGED2175) at checkout when paying for their first attempt of each of the four modules.
Should we list or remove a facility? Do we have to make adjustments? Please inform us here.
