The GED® test is given at state-approved test centers and in an online format.

The exam gives adults who couldn’t graduate high school another option for obtaining an equivalent degree. The test is done at a level similar to what graduating high school seniors must command.

For some students, it is better if they get prepared for the GED exam under the guidance of an instructor, while others learn very well with an online program.

With this website’s free practice tests and free online GED classes, you can discover if learning with an online course fits you well. If that works well for you, we suggest you go ahead with your preparation with Onsego GED Prep

Onsego has designed an accredited, comprehensive, yet very affordable GED online prep course that GED Testing Service qualifies as “100 percent in line with the latest edition of the GED exam.”

GED testing occurs via four subtests measuring a student’s knowledge in these fields:

  • English Language Arts
  • Math
  • Social Studies
  • Science

These modules (independent sub-exams) can be taken individually and in the order you like.

All across North America, the GED certificate is recognized just like a common high school degree by employers and schools.

Online GED testing was, until recently, not an option. You were required to come to a state-designated test center in person, but now, an online option has been introduced. Read more below.

Introducing Online GED Testing

Until recently, it was not possible to take the GED exam via the Internet. You needed to appear in person at one of Maryland’s state-approved GED test centers when you wanted to secure your GED credential.

Well, that has all changed with the arrival of a new, online, proctored GED testing option. A proctor will oversee the entire test-taking process and ensure that everything you do is in line with the strict regulations.
