The four GED tests assess a student’s skills and knowledge of these subjects:
- Mathematical Reasoning
- Reasoning through Language Arts
- Social Studies
- Science
You can take one of the four GED subtests at a time. You don’t need to take the entire GED battery in one session.
The HiSET exam has five subtests, as the section Literacy contains separate writing and reading tests. The HiSET modules may also be written separately.
