Introducing Online GED Testing
There had never been an online option to take the GED exam. That is, until recently! If you wanted to acquire your GED diploma, you were required to show up personally at one of Florida’s official GED test centers to pass the four GED subtests.
Now, however, all of that changed with the introduction of a new, online, proctored GED testing option. Go to this page: online proctored GED exam to learn more. Please be aware that on Jan 10, 2024, Florida suspended online GED testing.

GED Scoring
The four GED modules are scored on a 100 – 200 scale, and on each separate subtest, you need to attain at least a 145 score. Averaging is not possible, so you’ll have to reach this score on EACH of the four tests.
- 145-164: this range indicates high school equivalency
- 165-174: this means you are college-ready
- 175-200: this is the best possible scoring range indicating your college readiness, and you’ll additionally receive up to ten college credits!
