The GED exam can be taken online or at one of Texas’ official test centers.

Online GED testing was, until recently, not possible. You had to show up at one of Texas’ official testing centers.

The Online GED Test
In the past, the GED exam needed to be dealt with, in person, at one of Texas’ state-designated HSE (high school equivalency) test centers. Online testing simply was no option. This has changed now, however, with the launch of the online proctored GED exam.
