GED Classes Lawton, Oklahoma

Listed here are all GED® prep class sites and testing facilities in the Lawton region. Oklahoma is using two options for HSE (high school equivalency) testing, the GED and HiSET®.

GED and HiSET testing is offered in an online format and at state-designated HSE test centers.

The HSE test offers adults who don’t have a high school diploma an extra chance to earn an equivalent credential.

The HiSET exam is offered in both paper and computer-based formats while the GED is fully computer-formatted.

The GED contains four subtests in Math, Science, Literacy, and Social studies that can be completed individually.

HiSET testing comes with individual language-writing and language-reading tests (so five in total) that are also offered separately.

Online HSE testing was, until recently, never an option, but recently, we saw the arrival of both GED and HiSET online testing options. For information on the newly launched HiSET and GED testing options, go to the bottom of this post.

Welcoming GED and HiSET online testing options

In earlier days, students wanting to secure a high school equivalency (HSE) diploma always had to show up, in-person, at one of Oklahoma’s state-designated testing sites. There simply never was an option to sit for the exams online. Recently, however, we’ve seen the launch of both GED and HiSET online testing options.

When you want to learn all about the recently launched online HiSET testing option where a proctor will see if you do it all in line with the regulations, visit ‘Welcoming a new online HiSET testing option’, and to get more information about the newly introduced online proctored GED exam, go to this article: ‘Launching a new online GED testing option’.
