GED Classes Lawton, Oklahoma

Listed here are all GED® prep class sites and testing facilities in the Lawton region.

Oklahoma is using several options for HSE (high school equivalency) testing, the GED, TASC, and HiSET.

The HSE test offers adults who don’t have a high school diploma an extra chance to earn an equivalent credential.

The HiSET and TASC are offered in both paper and computer-based formats while the GED is fully computer-formatted.

The GED contains four subtests in Math, Science, Literacy, and Social studies that need to be completed in maximally two years.

HiSET and TASC have individual language-writing and language-reading tests (so five in total) that are also offered separately.

What is the GED exam?

The GED (General Educational Development) exam is a set of four separate tests developed by ACE (the American Council on Education) in a joint venture with publisher Pearson. The examination is developed to measure an applicant’s major and lasting outcomes in relation to traditional high school education. For enrollment criteria visit GED enrollment criteria in Oklahoma. The HiSET and TASC have five subtests.

Applicants planning to take the GED exam are usually required to first attend an ‘Orientation and Skills Assessment’ session. At these sessions, they will be informed about the GED testing process and they must take a practice test to establish the level of their skills and knowledge in the subject areas of the actual GED tests. Take also a look at this page that links to all GED programs and test locations in the U.S.

The practice tests are scored that same day, and candidates will learn what they must focus on most. If the examination indicates that candidates need better-developed skills they have the option to sign up for GED preparation classes until they demonstrate knowledge and skills at the appropriate level. Then they can take the GED Ready test, and when they pass this test, candidates can complete the application for the GED exam. Two years after the most recent GED test was rolled out, the GED passing requirements were brought back to 145 on each subtest. Please visit this GED Pass Score New Post for full details..

Is the HSE exam offered online?

The GED (General Education Development) test is NOT available via the internet and so are the TASC (Test Assessing Secondary Completion) and HiSET (High School Equivalency Test) alternatives. You must report in person to one of the state’s official HSE testing centers. Studying via the internet is a great option for students who have little time because of other obligations and those individuals who live in remote parts of the country, but the actual HSE exam is administered at special testing sites. Online-acquired documents are sure to be rejected by potential employers and.
