Listed here are all GED prep class sites and testing facilities in the Lawton region. Oklahoma is using two options for high school equivalency testing: the GED and HiSET.
GED® and HiSET testing is offered in an online format and at state-designated test centers.
The tests offer adults who don’t have a high school diploma an extra chance to earn an equivalent credential.
The HiSET exam is offered in paper and computer-based formats, while the GED is fully computer-formatted.
Online GED Classes
A simple and easy way of getting your GED diploma.
The GED contains four subtests that assess an applicant’s proficiency in these academic subject areas:
- Math
- Science
- English Language Literacy
- Social studies
These four exams can be completed individually and in the order you desire.
HiSET testing comes with individual language writing and language reading tests (so five in total) that are also offered separately.

GED and HiSET Online Testing Options
In earlier days, students wanting to secure a high school equivalency (HSE) diploma always had to show up in person at one of Oklahoma’s state-designated testing sites. There simply was never an option to sit for the exams online. Recently, however, we’ve seen the launch of both GED and HiSET online testing options.
When you want to learn all about the recently launched online HiSET testing option where a proctor will see if you do it all in line with the regulations, visit ‘The online HiSET test.’ To get more information about the newly introduced online proctored GED exam, go to this article: ‘The online proctored GED exam.’

Why Get a GED?
There are so many reasons why getting your GED diploma will help you work toward a brighter future. First off, the unemployment for people with a high school or equivalent diploma is much lower than for people who don’t have this level of education.
You also can enter a training program, go to college, or join the military when you hold this credential. Additionally, your confidence will definitely get a boost along with your skills and knowledge level.
In Oklahoma, you don’t have to wait before you’re allowed to retake one of the GED subtests, but this applies only to your first two retakes. After you’ve taken a subject test three times, there’ll be a required 60-day wait period. Then again, there’s no limit to the number of times you can retake a subtest in one calendar year.
Should we include or delist a facility? Are adjustments or updates required? Please inform us here.
