The assessment is for adults who were not in a position to finish high school. This way, they can acquire an equivalent secondary education degree.
The HiSET®, just like the GED® test, measures knowledge at a level that compares to that of graduating high school seniors.
The HiSET has five sector tests in the fields of English writing, English reading, math, social studies, and science. You can take the HiSET on a computer or on paper.
The HiSET exam assesses knowledge and skills at a level comparable to that of high school seniors upon graduation.

In the past, there was no way you could take the HiSET exam over the Internet. Recently, though, we’ve seen some important developments, and now, you can also sit for the HiSET exam online. HiSET Passing Score
On the HiSET exam, you need to come to at least an 8-point score (out of 20) on each of the five independent subject tests. Additionally, Your essay score must be at least 2, and your total HiSET score cannot be less than 45, excluding your essay score.
